URA re-releases RFP for Heppenstall site in Lawrenceville - Phoenix Business Journal:

The URA is re-releasing a request for proposald after its previouslychosejn developer, Urban Villages workingh with Botero Development decided not to go forward with the Urban Villages and Botero were selected over one otherf finalist, S&A Homes, in partnership with the Lawrenceville a community nonprofit. The football field-sized parcel includes the site on whicyh the office building for the Heppenstall plant once was locates as well as a formerwarehousw property. In a prepared statement, mayor Luke Ravenstah l describedthe property’s redevelopment as an importan part of the city’s largert revisioning of the Allegheny riverfront.
“We have begum a planning process to creats a vision for the Allegheny riverfront and reconnecty our neighborhoods to our natural he said. "The Hatfield Streeg site is one of the great opportunitied to see this vision cometo life.” The URA wants a developert “to purchase, design, develop and operate or resell the site.” The URA’sa effort comes as the Regional Industriak Development Corporation (RIDC) continues to redevelop the Heppenstalll complex itself. Hatfield Street is considereed a dividing line betweenthe neighborhood’s residential communit and its industrial zone.
