The center will house EMC’e security-business research lab, RSA as well as about a dozenj researchers, technologists and business leadersacross EMC’s business units. The compan y also has research facilities in China andSantsa Clara, Calif.
“Research and advanced technology groupsacross EMC, along with our globaol university research partners, are discovering and exploring new technologieds that will shape the future of digitalp information,” said Jeff Nick, EMC senior vice president and chieff technology officer, in a statement. “This is an incrediblw opportunity for EMC to bring together some ofthe world’ s leading research minds and innovators in areas such as personalk information management, information integration and cloucd computing.” As a consortium sponsoe of the MIT Media Lab, EMC will be able to accese the center’s research on how people use and interacft with new technologies.
